Canevel Spumanti was founded in 1979 by Mario Caramel, a known expert and admirer of the sector. The company’s mission is to produce excellent spumante in Valdobbiadene, with great cultural resonance. Canevel means little wine cellar in the local dialect.

From its origins, Canevel starting from a significant base of vineyards, has based itself on vision of integrating the entire chain of production, managing the production of sparkling wine.

The company owns 26 hectares of selected land in the Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG

And it produces 850,000 bottles.

In September 2016, Masi acquired a 60% share in Canevel.
